I’ve been an amateur radio operator since 1962. As you can imagine I’ve collected a large amount of gear over the years. My prime collecting has been vintage gear, mainly AM tube gear and related equipment dating from the late ‘30s to the early ‘60s.
Well it was finally time to retire! My goal was to move to Florida from my long-time home in Kansas. Found a place in Florida I fell in love with and put the home QTH in Kansas up for sale. Yikes, it sold in five days; I wasn’t expecting that. I thought it would take five months. So I found myself in a position that I needed to reduce the size of my ham collection. The idea of selling it through “eBay” and all the hassles, and sometimes grief, just did not appeal to me. That’s when I found David Schulman and Schulman Auctions. With as much gear as I had I thought it was a long-shot that an auction company would be willing to look at my gear and be willing to do all the work to put it in an auction. Most auction companies would pick and choose what they wanted a require me to deliver to their auction house. Not so with Schulman Auctions. I was pleasantly surprised when I explained my situation to David. Not only was he willing to pick up all my gear but he also verified the condition of the equipment himself. In no time David had the equipment loaded and off to his auction location.
David has an awesome marketing plan for getting the word out for his auctions. He has a large following in the amateur radio community which gave high visibility for the sale of my equipment. And it showed in the proceeds I received from the sale of the equipment.
I am so pleased with how the auction went and the level of service David provided. He made it fast, easy, and uncomplicated. I would highly recommend David and Schulman Auctions to anyone wanting to downsize or liquidate a collection. He has the expertise and experience to make it happen without the stress. Thanks again David.
